Outpatient therapy takes place once per week, typically around 45 to 60 minutes. It can be a stepping stone prior to beginning a higher level of support or a step down after completing a higher level of care. Individuals can receive support for mental health and/or substance use concerns. We seek to meet individuals where they are and use motivational interviewing strategies to assess their readiness to make changes. This service can be provided in person or via telehealth.
As part of the evaluation process, a psychiatric evaluation is completed. At that time, or in the course of treament, medication may be recommended as a part of treatment. Medication management will be scheduled at the mutual convenience of the individual and psychiartrist.
Peer Support Services are structured and scheduled activites for adult age 18 and older with MH/SA diagnoses. Peer Support Services are an individualized, recovery focused aproach that promotes the development of wellness, self-management, personal recovery, natural supports, coping skills, and self advocacy skills, as well as development of independent living skills for housing, employment and full community inclusion. Peer Support is facilitated by staff persons who have experienced mental illnes and/or substance abuse challenges and are established in their recovery through which they have benn prepared to serve as strong examples and support to their peers.
